Root is an asymmetric strategy board game where players compete for control of a vast woodland. Each player commands a unique faction with its own abilities, goals, and style of play, creating a dynamic battlefield of shifting alliances and rivalries.

The forest is in turmoil. The Marquise de Cat seeks to industrialize and dominate the woodlands, while the Eyrie Dynasties aim to reclaim their lost royal power. The Woodland Alliance rises in rebellion from the shadows, and the Vagabond, a lone wanderer, navigates all sides to achieve personal quests. Every faction earns victory points in different ways, and the first to reach 30 points wins.
